Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Services Survey of referring clincians (National Audit Office (2007)
As part of the audit of CRHT teams nationally published earlier this year the NAO had surveyed referring clinicians to ascertain their understanding of CRHT teams. The survey suggests that a majority of potential referrers such as A & E, G.Ps etc… have a partial awareness of the role and function of CRHT (up to 80% in some groups) despite this significantly lower number (as low as 10% for some groups) would see themselves as being fully aware of the role and function of these teams.

This document identifies aspects of how crisis teams deliver care which need attention so that best practice is followed across the country. It emphasises a whole systems approach to care and is complementary to existing guidance, the Policy Implementation Guidelines for Crisis Resolution/Home Treatment Teams, published by the Department of Health in 2001.
It was influenced by the National Survey of Crisis Resolution Teams in England and developed by regional leads for Crisis Resolution Services including Patrick McGlynn, CSIP Eastern's Specialist Mental Health Services Programme Manager

Medicines Management: Everybody's Business (DH, Jan 2008)
This leaflet, which is aimed at mental health service users, carers and health and social care practitioner (H&SCP) staff, has been developed with the help of service users and carers and describes good practice. It has two purposes:
• firstly, to empower service users and carers to ask relevant questions and have their views taken into account. This builds on the work carried out collaboratively on the New Ways of Working for Pharmacy programme
• secondly, to help H&SCPs improve their person-centred approach in the area of medicines management. Medicines management can be described as the process of managing the way in which medicines are chosen, bought, delivered, prescribed, administered and reviewed, including appropriate safe, agreed withdrawal, in order to make the most of the contribution medicines can make to improving care and treatment.
